Cove moulding is plain, concave-shaped trim used most predominantly on inside corners such as where the walls and ceiling meet or where two walls meet. It can also be used on stairs, below the stair tread of risers and treads. Cove moulding may be considered a less ornate version of crown and is an extremely versatile piece used in many different moulding applications.
